Come This Far is a large-scale exploration of growth, identity, and the decision to keep moving forward even when the past feels familiar.

At the center of the painting, a woman's piercing green eyes emerge through layers of color, fragmented words, gestural marks, scratches, symbols, and partially obscured thoughts. Her face feels as though it is being built and erased at the same time, reflecting the way our experiences continually reshape who we are.

Hidden within the chaos is the phrase that gives the painting its meaning: “You didn’t come this far to become who you used to be.” Some words demand attention while others disappear into the surface, mirroring the pieces of our past that remain with us even after we've outgrown them.

Soft, realistic features collide with raw, imperfect mark-making and layers of turquoise, yellow, pink, orange, and muted earth tones. The contrast between beauty and disorder creates a portrait that feels simultaneously vulnerable, defiant, and unfinished, much like personal growth itself.
