Forced to Fit is a portrait about beauty, pressure, and the distortion that happens when we’re asked to shrink ourselves to fit inside spaces we were never meant for.
I started with a soft, flowing portrait of a woman painted on fabric. But her story didn’t end there. I poured resin over her, then forced her into a smaller wooden panel frame—intentionally creating wrinkles, creases, and tension across the surface.
The result is a powerful visual metaphor for how outside pressures can reshape us, sometimes against our will, stripping away perfection and replacing it with something raw, flawed, and real.
